I had heard rave reviews about Wintersun Caravan Park and I must admit when i first drove in I thought yeah it's ok. After two days staying here we were sad to leave. If you want to see the Australian spirit in full force then this is one for your bucket list. Each day there is activities whether it be craft, bowls, gym or sausage sizzle. We went to the sausage sizzle on thursday night. For $5 per person you get a bun, 2 sausages, salads an ice cream and door prizes, i won a bottle of wine! The turnout was 150 people. We were treated to jokes and a lovely bloke playing on his guitar. My youngest was the centre of attention as she climbed up on stage and was shimmying away. We made some great friends Sandra and Peter, who we hope to see again in our travels. Our kids were loving socialising with alot of grey nomads. The girls had a ball. The staff are amazing. The ablution blocks are so clean and you can even listen to music while you shower. The pool area was nice although a little cold this time. Ventured into Carnarvon and there was a nice little harbourside although that was about it. The wind was non stop all day but I would still go again just to stay at Wintersun. Off again today, where to stop next.
